In this study, we evaluated the effect of prolonged sevoflurane anesthesia on kinetics and binding potential (BP ND) of [11 C]raclopride in NHP. Procedures: Three cynomolgus monkeys underwent two to three PET measurements with [ 11 C]raclopride under continuous sevoflurane anesthesia on the same day. While anesthesia today is the safest it has ever been, even for the sickest patients, its administration is not without risks. The specific risks of anesthesia vary with the kind of anesthesia, type of surgery (elective or emergent), and patient specific factors, including age and pre-existing medical conditions.
